The GB Cloverdale Kids’ Jiu-Jitsu after-school program is an excellent activity to keep children occupied. This program is ideal for busy parents who want their children to remain active even during their free time. Through martial arts training, kids can release their pent-up energy and gain self-confidence. Experienced instructors lead Jiu-Jitsu classes. Students can be picked up from school by our GB staff in shuttle buses and dropped off at our academy, where they can complete their homework while waiting for their Jiu-Jitsu class to begin.

“A T-shirt is okay to wear during your trial class, but it tends to get warm underneath a Jiu-Jitsu Gi. A rash guard is preferred since it is made of thinner and more breathable material to wear underneath a Jiu-Jitsu Gi. You’ll notice that most students wear a rash guard. Students trying out their first class will be provided with a Gracie Barra Jiu-Jitsu Gi to wear during class. Also, included is an image of a kid in a Gracie Barra uniform.”
“When you first start Jiu-Jitsu training, it can be daunting. You are surrounded by new faces, new sensations, and new rules. But any first-time student can learn and perform many Jiu-Jitsu techniques during class, and it’s all about having fun! 😻😻
Here are some small tips to get the most out of your training: focus, listen to your instructor, and give your full effort. Remember to practice consistently and adopt a growth mindset. Soon enough, you will feel confident and comfortable in your skills. Don’t give up, have fun, and enjoy the journey!”
